I may not have many qualifications having dropped out of college and I may not have a lot of money, coming from a working class background but here’s ONE thing a lot of rich, successful people don’t have. A true sense of achievement in knowing they’ve helped others, and I know I have yet I’m only 18. I fought for things I’ve truly believed in, and I have made some beautiful friends along the way. I’ve made the most amazing memories and they’re far richer than knowing I have a bank full of money like Ruper Murdoch.
Today I found out greed is a human invention, (along with disgust), they’re not REAL emotions. Every other emotion within us is inside each of us innately. I know I thankfully, do not have to much greed. With food sometimes, and admittedly a little more money to help me would be nice, but no more than I need to live. However, I don’t want it for selfish desires and that’s in my eyes is what makes me far more accomplished than that of a rich man. Friends, memories and helping others along my way. I’m only 18 and I still have so much left that life has to offer, and I can’t wait.
Richness of the mind, over richness of being wealthy.
Through the loft windows a filter of sunlight,
I awake to see the summer sun of an early afternoon,
Crumpled sheets and the smell of tobacco and sleep,
He shyly smiles at me between the covers,
Suddenly it is night, fresh and warm from the summer air,
The city lights sparkle in the distance of the trees,
Gentle words are shared like the fags and alcohol,
And so the birds tweet as the evening becomes dawn.

This is one of the poems I have written, I’ve created a Tumblr just for them and my poetry so it would mean a lot to me if you’d follow :)
We live in a world were you’re judged by a c.v,
And no one asks questions because we’re dumbed down by reality T.V,
Our lifes purpose to purchase items we are told to like,
All this to keep the elite few at their heights,
Living off a system that barely pays to buy food,
Then bring children into the world to do as we do,
We exist only as a statistic,
But being heard in a democracy just isn’t realistic,
We are good for numbers when it comes to fighting wars,
Fighting against others like ourselves with no real cause,
Our class doesn’t have the ability to open doors,
As far as progressing we have too many flaws,
We are given religions to keep us acting right,
So that we wait patiently for a better and meaningful afterlife,
We speak the same language but the elite can not understand us,
Because our particular accents immediately brand us.
The Notorious Bettie Page
I FINALLY watched this film having had it sitting in my room for a good few months! The film certainly was beautiful, with the mostly black and white imagery which reverted to colour every now and then reminiscent of home movies. Gretchen Mol was absolutely perfect for the role, I don’t think there was another actress who wasn’t made for the role. She captured the spirit and style of Bettie, but the costumes were amazing as well. However, what may disappoint some is that this isn’t JUST a film about the life of Bettie Page, it is about the cultural aspects of the 50s. The changing culture and the conservatism that was sweeping through America at the time and the unspoken nature of sex, child abuse. Directed by Mary Harron, this is most definetly worth a watch even just for the cinematography and to get a feel of the 50s!
As if I missed the registration to vote for Mayor of London.
I’m actually upset, if Boris Johnson gets in I will go around on a murderous rampage killing every Tory I know. (Okay not really, but still). I’ve had enough of a Tory government, that I was actually going to vote for someone which I wouldn’t actually do. The only good thing Boris ever did was make those bikes and falling into rivers oh and look like a twat for my amusement. LISTEN TO THE OH NO. Hahahah, priceless. Now for him to fall out from an airplane… with no parachute :)
Can someone suggest a filmo to watch? Need something to pass the timee away?
